FINAL: Miami Scores Season-High 105 Points in Win Over North Florida

The Miami men’s basketball team closed out the non-conference slate with a 105-67 win over UNF on Sunday inside the Watsco Center.

The 105-point outburst marks the fourth time this season Miami has eclipsed 100 points.

Miami closes out the non-conference slate with an 11-2 ledger, the most non-conference regular season wins since 2017-18 (11).

Tre Donaldson led the way with a team-high 21 points and nine assists to go along with five rebounds and three steals. Over the last four games, Donaldson has 44 assists to five turnovers while scoring in double figures every game.

Shelton Henderson added 20 points and five rebounds while Malik Reneau registered 19 points. Ernest Udeh Jr. cleaned up the glass with a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Hurricanes took 16-point lead into the break, ending the first half on a 17-6 run in the final five minutes. The Ospreys (2-10) trimmed the lead down to five on back-to-back buckets from Kamrin Oriol before Miami went on their run capped by a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Timo Malovec.

Coming out of the half, Miami’s lead ballooned as the Canes went on a 13-5 run in the first 4:13 of the half. With the Hurricanes leading, 75-47, midway through the third, Miami extended its advantage with an 8-0 run. Miami continued to build its lead as it shot 54.5-percent in the final stanza and forced 10 Osprey turnovers.

For the game, Miami shot 56.7-percent from the floor and outrebounded North Florida, 44-24. The Hurricanes dominated the paint, 54-18, while forcing 20 turnovers and converting those into 36 points.

Miami returns to action Dec. 30 as it opens conference play against Pitt at home in the Watsco Center.
