What does this mean towards are sanctions? Are they that bad then?

They must have felt they were bad or they were never have done this. Tough move. but the right call. It's all about keeping Golden now. Lose him, and the program is dead forever.

Minnimum bowl ban was going to be 2 people

The dude snitched then our ***king equipment manager thought he was TMZ

They suspended the players involved + 2 year bowl ban

The only things left are show cause for Stoutland, Hurtt, Aubrey Hill, and Panu + whatever schollies we lose and I'm gonna guess the NCAA will be lenient since we've been compliant

I agree with the administration on this.......

Already looking forward to next year.......

Both glad and disappointed for this decision. Would have have liked to see this team "overachieve" and win the division and make the title game.. but at the same time we have now banned ourselves from 3 post season games, which the NCAA HAS to take into account. That should make our sanctions a little lighter, let's hope at least.

It helps with recruiting in a MAJOR way

Btw, this means that we definitely DONT skate...

They must know there are substantiated allegations.

this is what I've been saying all along. ****

Still, substantiated it still would not be much worse than UNC's...with 3 post-season games surrendered, we'll be ready to go next year and beyond. Huge and impactful freshman class from last year set us up to survive the scholi bans. The worst is behind us here gents, much brighter days ahead.

All I know is if the NCAA penalizes Miami with more than 15 schollies lost and any additional bowl losses, there's going to be some royally ****ed off Canes fans out there.

Why?

Is this a serious "why"?

Have you looked at the punishments UCF and North Carolina received for worse infractions?

Please provide your sources that suggest Miami's infractions are worse than UCF's.

You have no idea what NCAA has dug up.

Shapiro, and that yahoo story, have already aired out all allegations. What more source on supposed infractions do you need?

I don't know what will happen, but that sounds reasonable to me. If there is no benefit to being extremely cooperative with the NCAA, it will send a message to other schools that I don't think the NCAA wants to send.

It also helps with keeping current players from transferring. I dont think the ncaa gives us more than 1 more bowl ban. That means only the current juniors can leave without sitting out.

Please explain because I am not following your logic. What else do you possibly think they will hand down on us after taking two post-season bans totaling 3 games not to mention the financial loss.

I think when everyone says we skate there are speaking in terms of nothing more will come of this other than a few scholarship reductions.

You guys are making it seem like even after us taking two post-season bans that the NCAA will give us more - I just don't see it. USC, UNC, UCF, Ohio State all were said to have been worse and far less cooperative yet they get 1 or 2 year post season ban.

We "Skate" is relative to the fact of what we have already lost out on, but to say that we will further get hammered is a bit of a failed logic if we base our reasoning off of the precedent set from the aforementioned schools.

You are making the presumption that because what Kyle said was not known to the public that the NCAA didn't already have this information.

Which I don't think is the case. If there is one thing I can say with certainty is that UM handed over everything and I mean everything in terms of information over to the NCAA. Nothing is not known by the NCAA. Just because the general public wasn't aware doesn't imply the NCAA wasn't aware.

Yessss! The absolute right decision. Now lets beat Duke and go recruit'n!!

Totally agree, hopefully this will be the last bowl game we have to sit out and shows the NCAA we are taking matters very seriously as an institution.

Man, Fluck that snitchin no talent Timberlake lookin bish

man you can almost feel Als frustration, Come at me! Dude is the job. I wanna see this team beat the **** outta Duke and enjoy doing it.

The ACC and their refs LULZ at your post

Duke WILL advance. Make no mistake about it. The ACC is not sending a 3rd place team to the ship bcuz UNC and IMAIM can't go

You do realize that GT just won the Coastal no matter what, right? GT's record right now is 5-3 in the ACC, Duke's is 3-4. Duke wins and they are still a game behind GT.

Agree, it hurts the senior class as they miss out on a second bowl, but the young players coming in can start playing in bowl games from day 1. OSU should have took the bowl ban last year, and if they had they would be in the hunt for a national title.

when we actually know our punishment it will help with recruiting.

I'm still praying for less than 10 total schollys lost

It helps now man. We've gien them 2

They can't possibly give us another or else nobody will ever help the NCAA again

Kiss my grits bish

This one hurts. Feel bad for the seniors, none of them had anything to do with this.

As mentioned this is unprecedented. My hope is that the University pressed the NCAA for information before making this decision. The fact that the NCAA has held us hostage this exacerbates the issue. Never have I had as much disdain for Shapiro as I do today.
