Of what I’ve seen 11-11 Tate still finds a way to move the chains the best.
I’d say Perry follows and Williams is 3rd.
Jarren just checks down way too and rarely goes through all his progressions.

Remember that the media had seen very little 11v11 to this point. Almost all of what we see is 7v7 or 1v1, both of which have no pass rush.

From the few 11v11 videos posted (wasn’t full pads) OT struggles mightily. Nelson & Herbert cannot handle the bull rush. Maybe things will be different in pads.

I would be surprised if Manny gives out any kind of firm statistics from any of the scrimmages. What would be the point? I also don't think they will announce any kind of QB decision publicly. If the media is viewing only a small portion of the practice at the beginning - drills, warm ups, - there's no need to do that.

These scrimmages are going to be important and quite honestly need to be live so we will know who won’t flinch in real game situations
No man, you can really run live QB scrimmages. At least I wouldn’t. It’s not like QBs are “scared” to get hit. You get hit in a game that 1st time in a game you good after that. Don’t need them to be beat around in a scrimmage to test toughness at this level. But scrimmage are gonna tell the story.

Good stuff but I’m starving for more. How do the DEs look? Are they absolutely dominating Nelson and Herbert, or do the OTs hold their own on most of the reps? How do the dbs look, especially Ivey and Blades .. and Hall, Smiff and Carter? Is Hall the breakout guy we all thought he would be? Does Ford have any chance of filling the big shoes left behind by Willis?
At this point brother, Ford has no other choice but to step up!! Has too.

People are complaining about check down passes. Lmao. Do you guys remember 4 verticals routes. Now it's a problem to throw short. Smh

i dont think its the check downs. your offense inst going to be good if you're just throwing short (esp against teams just as athletic as you are -- UF, FSU) just as our offense was awful when we just hunted deep all the time. need a variety of throws -- short, deep, intermediate. we need a QB who can excel in all 3 areas the best.

the guys at 5 rings literally said the throws that they saw in 11 v 11 were tate -- short and in the flats, jarren -- intermediate and middle, and perry -- deep and out routes and all had their safety valve options. well see what happens, but i dont think you know anymore than any of the other media who are reporting on the QB race (no disrespect, but you aren't the coaches that are there all the time). 5 rings guys (iviNs, DBJ, lake, etc.) all said that its gonna come down to the stuff no one sees (basically, the rest of the practice)

imo, likely not. i think UF is gonna come down to the Defenses esp this early in the year in all honesty. people won't like to hear it, but i dont see us being crisp that early on offense along with being a good OL (pretty much all year).

I’m just saying what I’ve seen. We will see what happens. I went the qb that will help isn’t best UF.
Jarren needs to get better vs 11-11

agreed. i honestly dont know if the QB is on the roster, but i hope one of them can beat UF. just from what i heard on podcasts, I'm pretty nervous on if any of them will beat UF combined w our crap OL. hopefully im wrong tho. 8/24 cant come soon enough

Imo If we beat UF our defense will have a lot to say on that.

i agree. i dont think our offense will shine in that game esp that early on w the QBs adjusting to new things and obvious elephant being the OL. our d is gonna have to carry us with the O doing just enough. hopefully im wrong tho and the QBs start lighting it up in the scrimmages (any one of them idc which).

go listen to some of the podcasts from the media that are there and i legit said well see what happens in the scrimmages. thanks for reading tho lol
Fwiw Ivins said he thinks tate wins it and dmoney(obviously has connections) said he thinks he has momentum in separate podcasts as well and both reiterated the media is only seeing a portion of practice not the full thing

We are going to need a quick passing game to neutralize ufs potential pass rush. Although I think y’all are overstating how good they are in the front 7 and they lost polite who was by far their best pass rusher. For whatever the reason certain teams had all day to throw vs uf including mizzou, Kentucky, uga to name a few so they don’t always get there
