People tried to say the same thing about pope and the other receivers etc yet (obviously vs Bethune) but he looked more explosive than any receiver we have seen playing for us all year at any point and that includes Jeff Thomas even against the same competition. It’s not always that. We won’t know how good he is if he doesn’t get to play.

it’s funny to me how it appears sometimes they give marginal players(obvious safety and de) all of this playing time and chances but those chances come few and far between the more talented edge rushers at end, backup receivers and now Lingard at rb. At some point you got to put them out there like you do everybody else

Come on. You know better than that. The message has been consistent since last year; the skill guys have to learn the plays and where they need to help out and block or run interference- they need to know what to do. Richt and Thomas Brown said it last year about Lo and Cam. It isn't just getting on the field and running.

He's only been cleared for two weeks to practice on the field with contact. It's not that odd that he may not have all the play calls down. Yes, other guys like DJ, Brevin and Will Mallory have missed blocks and Jarren has suffered for it. Why don't we wait and see what happens for pointing fingers again. I'm sure when he can get on the field and do his part he will play.

Maybe Lingard isn't as good as the CIS experts think he is?
It’s funny because wasn’t there a thread in the summer about how Cam was really the stud and better than Lo? I bet those same people saying that Cam was better in that thread are now up in arms about Lo.

I asked in the other thread last week and not one person has given an answer other than something along the lines of "because the corches suck, fly the banner!" as to why the staff - you know, the people whose livelihoods are literally on the line if we don't win football games - would elect not to play Lo if he is the best running back we have (in fact the best player we have), the team is better if he is on the field, and he is fully back from injury. If all of those statements are absolute facts, as many of you clearly believe they are, then explain to me why the coaches would choose not to play him? Give me one reason that actually holds water. Haven't heard one yet... because that just makes zero sense.

Fellas ....

If we continue to do the same thing like THESE last 4 games and do not cover the dang spread ,have Nesta, BB, Lo sitting the bench, G.RO and T. Hill not play meaningful snaps? I might just be that guy and..........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

I've been someone that supports getting Lo in the game, but also suggesting that the frustration to be able to do so at this point is misplaced, since he's been hurt. I'm not sure if Manny quite understands the inconsistency of his position on needing to keep Zion in there and getting Lo in the game. In one breath, he said that Lo needs to be able to do all the things required by a RB, including blocking, and through no fault of his own, is behind because of a lack of game reps vs. Bethune and Central Michigan. Then in almost the next breath, he says that Zion needs to continue to play because getting him game reps is so valuable and will help him improve. If those game reps are so valuable for purposes of helping guys get better, then doesn't logic follow that the only way for Lo to truly get better is to get those same game reps?

Well I'm sure there's some offenses that could figure out a way to use him...

Our ELITE offense is just too complicated for Lingard, maybe he ought to do what's best for himself & find a place that better fits his skill set.
It’s amazing how our coaches can’t look at teams who have similar strengths and weaknesses on offense as our players, find a successful model and emulate it with some tweaks to suit us even more.

How are we back dealing with this hard headedness again after Dorito on D and Mork on O for the preceding 7 or so years???

They better play him, enough with the excuses. Diaz managing this and his comments in recent weeks about it smells very amateur like. I like What the other rbs have done but they aren’t perfect on every play or anyone on offense for that matter, enough to the point where he can’t get in the game.

Robert knowles don’t never know what to do or just mess up but he still gets in every game. Child please...

Lingard to needs to play this freakin weekend! Enough is enough! Coach him up and get him out there. Dude is a true talent. Get him on the **** field. This ****es me the F off.
