Jameis Winston wasn’t mature but he won FSU a championship. Time to put the best players on the field.

Are we talking maturity as a kid who doesn’t go to class, watch film, workout or maturity as in he is out chasing hoes and partying?

There is a big difference between the two.

Kid wasn’t out breaking laws and raping people, just immature stupid **** a kid shouldn’t be doing in this position. Especially when he knows it might be his last shot at starting here. It really turned the staff off.

So it’s off the field stuff? If he is mature with how he leads the huddle and prepares for football, I don’t care what he does off the field.

If the competition is close but you don’t trust a kids maturity it makes it hard to put your job in their hands. Work ethic and maturity is a big deal. If he was blowing the other guys away it would be different , but he’s not. It’s a close race where’s he’s been most consistent. Culture matters , especially with a new staff.

Imo if he keeps playing like this they might have no choice , it’s just a tough spot.

We know Martell has shown the leadership since he walked in the doors so it might win him the job.

**** man, I don't give a **** who starts. Diaz better stop playing and just tell us I'm tired of trying to guess who the qb will be and see posters trying to convince people why they think one qb should start with their dumb *** reasoning.

Diaz forgot,to say. The media and fans will know who the starting QB is when the offense takes the field for the first time against the crocs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Manny was doing a bit of “skull duggrey” on how the new O looks to keep UF off kilter...

Definitely a CIS style take on those comments ....lol.

One positive of the offense being so young is that this sort of mentality and culture can be fixed. DJ and KJ seem immune from this.

The energy Tate brings should be a big plus for Diaz. I don’t know if Enos will pick him, but I could Diaz rooting for him and the energy he can bring to the O.

Here is reality:
Manny knows who is our QB. Enos is installing and drilling that QB right now. But what advantage would our Canes have in announcing this to the world.?
None.
Manny knows that our D is good, but psychologically he is sending out the word to Florida that our OL sucks. Good strategic move on his part, because if their D let's down, the Canes can strike if they believed this sh**.
Nothing stated about ST's. This group is good for points, but why mention them.
Manny has been around, and part of the game is to set up your opponent, which is exactly what Manny is doing.
Manny has a plan and he is working it....... he probably told Z that he was going to downplay everything and they agreed to this prior to the interview.
Please guys, give Manny credit for being around, and having football savvy, that will enhance our team.
Speculation is b/s at this point, and only the players, and Coaches know the true level of where we are.
This is reality....................

Why do we want Manny to come out and say our starting QB is _______? So UiF has time to do work on that QB? I get it we want to know to get excited behind whoever we pulled for. Manny hold out till 8/24/19. Advantage for us.

My bigger concern was the "far away" thousand yard started look Manny was describing. Our offense losing to our defense is fine as long as they don't check out. An entire half of bad play and being checked out isn't promising. That's why I think the sooner a QB1 is named, the better. The starting QB helps to cure that and gives guys someone to rally around.

Like Footsteps Falco in the Replacements (I'm only partially kidding with the example)
good news is did name starter today. Williams won job. I like that offense fought back in 2nd half though. the defense to me is always gonna get better off offense early in camp. even without added benfit of being in system 4 yrs vs 4 months
