With two years of eligibility remaining and a star studded quarterback class projected in 2027, Darian Mensah appears to be one of the top NFL prospects.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Mensah opens as the 5th quarterback but also the 5th overall player with best odds to be the top pick.
Mensah odds opens up at (+1400) just behind South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers. The top quarterback is Arch Manning (+225), with Oregon quarterback Dante Moore behinds him at (+380).
Last season with the Duke Blue Devils, Mensah broke out going for 3,973 passing yards and 34 touchdown passes, for only six interceptions.
The impressive thing with Mensah is that he still has two more years of eligibility left, so he can prove a lot and be in the talks to be the No. 1 quarterback rated next year.
Fernando Mendoza was the No. 1 pick and the No. 1 quarterback off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft, and Carson Beck went in the 3rd round. If Mensah gets drafted near the top, it'll be three years in a row that Mario Cristobal has put a top quarterback into the NFL.
