Okay, I get many want the connection, but a lot of old 'Canes and people associated (Billy Corben, Chuck Todd) may not bring a spark in the crowd that Tkachuck brings. I'm a hockey fan (but not of the Panthers, they have to win two more cups in a row to equal my team) so I know him and think this is an area championship choice since the 'Canes are so highly ranked right now.

He's the catalyst for the Florida Panthers emergence as a hockey power. This is a move for south Florida & I love it. No surprise that our fan base, being national, would be divided on this.

The Florida Panthers are the best run team in all 4 major sports in the nation at the moment. If you don't care for hockey, I get it, but this is good juju.
