Is #1 not in the Top 25?

You are correct.

Granted just actually staying and finishing in Top 25 for an entire season would be an accomplishment for Miami at this point--but that isn't the Hurricane standard.

Its Natty or nothing.

No one gives a **** who places 2-130.

If you wouldn't be happy with a #2 ranking for the Canes at the end of this year, I doubt your Cane credentials.

Do we have elite talent no. Top thirty talent I’d say yes. Have we developed the talent and utilized what we have no and especially at Qb and OL. Would I like more 5 and 4 stars sure but you need to consistently win to get the top players.
Having said that we’ve had more than enough talent to beat the Dukes and Virginia’s of the world we need to start beating teams we should beat and the talent will come.

30? By what measure? I really doubt there are 10 teams more talented than us in college football right now

No I agree I’d say top 15 for sure. I was just trying to make a point that we’ve recruited well enough to win.

Exactly. This team has enough talent and coaching today to win 10 games, get raped by Clemson, win a bowl game and then recruit a top 10 class to continue to improve. The success of 2017 setup the team for a top 8 recruiting class, which they followed up with a ****** season and a coaching change. This season needs to be on that 2017 level or better to keep the momentum in the right direction.

The fans that think overnight this program should recruit as well as and be as successful as teams like Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, or Clemson need some patience. This program is more like FSU or USC today than those other teams - extremely talented but recently unsuccessful and completely inconsistent. Just because Manny got promoted doesn’t instantly give this team more talent, development, or depth.

Depends your cheap and my cheap is two different things.

P.S.
I bet I can get 100 more posts out of you on this thread alone.

Here is a hint for you muppet...

Maybe, just maybe its amusing as you get all fired up typing...

The oxygen...the oxygen...

Creak..creak...creak...here it comes..

So you think it has been coaching/system more than actual talent on roster?

Clearly QBs haven't been developed...not that they were world beaters, but instruction/system clearly lacking.

As to the OL, I'm not convinced any of them would have started at Wake Forest...until proven otherwise.

As in most things, there's usually a combination of factors. Surely coaching/system has been a primary factor. The one factor that seems to be overlooked is the skewed concentration of talent.

Everyone gets excited at RBs that are faster than a speeding bullet and WRs that can leap tall buildings in a single bound. We actually stack up pretty well. But the positions that really matter (at least offensively), QB and LT, we've been weak in numbers and quality.

Well though-out post. We're not likely to get where we want to be (#6) in a year. But if Manny avoids the type of letdowns we've had in recent years, it's progress.

While I agree with the Flowe sentiment, Signing a quality QB every class is a MUST not a luxury! While Flowe would be the Best LB in a Class of 4/5, while Van Dyke would be the Top QB signing in a Class of 1. If we missed on either which one would be more impactful to the class?
Let's hope that Kosi, or JW can hold it down, if not Tate take the position it and run with it. VD will mostly not play a down next season and Flowe will most probably have to start due to our depth issues at LB. Don't get me wrong, I like Van Dyke; but Flowe would me the more impactful of the two.

Prioritizing the urgent over the important is one of the seven classic blunders.
