Chris Fowler & Kirk Herbstreit to Call Miami-Clemson game

Two of the best college football announcers will be on the call for the Miami Hurricanes game versus the Clemson Tigers this Saturday at Memorial Stadium -- better known as Death Valley.

The two teams have been selected to be broadcast on ESPN for the prime-time game. Play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler, analyst Kirk Herbstreit, and sideline reporter Holly Rowe will all be on the game Saturday night. This marks the first time this season the Hurricanes will play in an ESPN slot.

Last season, the crew announced Miami–Florida, Miami-Florida State, and Miami's College Football Playoff game against the Ole Miss Rebels. The Hurricanes won all three games, marking a 3-0 record when Fowler and the crew were on the call.

Kickoff is set for Saturday night, at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN on ABC.

Herbstreit likes the Canes, plus he's a former QB. Mensah will get plenty of love assuming he plays well.

They covered the game against the Gators last year if memory serves, as well as FSU. Seemed pretty fair each time but we shall see.

I enjoy this Broadcast Team. Herb knows exactly the penalty called unlike 95% of all the other color guys. They bring a real breakdown of plays!

Fowler absolutely loves Toney. Seen him on multiple shows over the past few months calling him the most exciting player in college football.

The “He doesn’t lose foot races!” call against FSU was one of the best of the year.

I don't expect a ton of praise for Malachi from Herbstreit, who frequently refers to Jeremiah Smith as the best player in the country, when considering the Heisman possibilities and his increasingly biased takes. Hope I'm wrong.
