See, right here, you just miss what being a Cane is all about. For 20 years we altered the reality of the college football world and made it to our liking, despite unified efforts to stop us. Reality was never part of our make up. Howard was hired as one last shot before closing the football program down. He walks out and says national championship within five years and the we do It! Not a frigging realist in the world believed him. We live above reality and sometimes that is just delusional, but we don’t give a crap.
Say it again for the people in the back.

LOL, lot of the young UM fans have to be raised, they never witnessed nor understood the mindset and teams of the 80's, alot of them became UM fans around/after the over 300 than back to 299 rushing game edgerrin james put on UCLA!

Anybody that got a problem with what deejay dallas said, they have to be a new UM fan or a hater. Notice how deejay is now saying that now that kosi is in the mix. I made a statement a few weeks ago about "let mark richt coach this team" cause people were calling for perry, i said its alot more to coaching/managing a team than just starting a player cause he's talented, coach richt is still making kosi earn the starting job, which is the right thing to do, cause while rosier often times is frustrating to watch, richt knows at the end of the day, you can win with him, and rosier is responsible to his teammates by being available.

With perry getting as much playing as he did against F.i.u., that's what will mostly and mainly keep him focused.

Having lived through the decades before the glory years also adds to understanding just how great our achievement was. There was a power structure in football much like today. We kicked it down a destroyed programs and even conferences that ruled it. Everything that has happened since is a concerted effort to rebuild the structure. They have succeeded and only we can crush their little heads again. The greatest thing last year was the ND game when we, the fans, turned the Rock into our new OB. For those their who never experience the OB back in the day, that was our lives.

Teach man, beating notre shame the way we did will forever be a thing of beauty, its wins like that, that will always make me have respect for rosier no matter how frustrating he can be at times, and also having him here was important and vital to the development of perry, gave him more time in the lab. Seeing the team energized again, that's when you know we getting close, and once we get the trench warfare right, we are going to be a nightmare to deal with. But seeing the hopeless look on brian kelly's face and the young lady covering her ears were 2 of the best things about that notre shame game.
