Canes Camp Day 1

I will be posting updates from the first day of fall training camp for the Miami Hurricanes under Mark Richt. Check this original post for updates.

Practice begins at 3:05.

Media viewing from 3:30-4:26.

Practice ends at 5:15 and then media session with Richt and other available coaches/players.

2:15 - some recruits expected such as Trajan Bandy

3:02 - Al-quadin Muhammad is practicing today for Miami.

3:35 - Sonny Odogwu working with what appears to be first team OL as the right tackle

3:44 - Henderson, Jobe, Bandy at practice

Dionte Mullins here in street clothes

4:00 - Todd Hartley is vocal

4:20 - from what I just saw, it appears that Richards, Berrios, Coley were first team receivers

4:27 - Thomas, Norton, McIntosh, Muhammad, Pinckney, Quarterman, Grace, Elder, Jenkins, Redwine, Carter appear to be 1st team defense

He got the attention he craved from that thread, so he's going to work that triple option angle as long as he can.

What do you expect Chise? Word is his mother is extremely well versed in the triple option. I hear she is a very good fit though not as good as she used to be. Apparently she's working exclusively on the Flex Bone nowadays. I see the apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

Edison kids and coaches reached out to me. Redirected them to the staff and got everything set up.

If so, I wasn't aware of that, but from the looks of things it seems like all the WR's are in the 80's.
Does that mean that Jamal Carter & AQM are no longer single digit guys as well?

They still have single digits. Aqm & berrios is 8, chad 9, norton & gus 7, carter 6 and its more im sure. I see they are not really doing multiple numbers for the new guys.

How is he not UM caliber when Alabama wanted him? You seem to think if Alabama offer you a scholarship as a WR, you are the truth. That's your reasoning for Richards being a star. Cager was behind Scott, Waters, Coley and Berrios last season. You are the only one expected Cager to be a star as a freshman.

Bama and fsu throw out offers but they go aftsr certain people hard.....like full court press.....they go after elite guys......its my opinion i think the kid will never see the field again if we recruit the way we r suppose too. I just dont think cager is that good same as juwon young and others......even pete said theres more "elite talent" around the program. Its like when butch took over in davenports film...they said he was recruiting a different kind of animal.....thats how MR is doing it and kids will be pushed out if we get studs.

Bruh, for real? You can't have it both ways. You can't say that they offer everyone a scholarship, but then say that only go after elite players. We get that you are in love with SF players, but Cager was going to start this season or play a lot. And next season he will be a starter along side Richards too if he come back healthy.
