The presumed baddest man on the Tennessee Titans is 6'4 - 305 pound All-Pro defensive tackle, Jeffery Simmons. The bigger they are don't matter to Cam Ward, as the former Hurricane QB and 2025 NFL draft No. 1 pick got into a little scuffle with Simmons today at practice.
Punches weren't thrown, but pushing and shoving went on before the offensive line rushed to Ward's defense. Toward the end of practice, Ward hit Calvin Ridley for six and en route to celebrate, he stopped and gave Simmons a shove that was met by two hands from Simmons to the facemask of Ward reportedly.
The Titans have looked to be closer to the bottom than the top of the NFL this pre-season but they do have a QB. It is a good sign that his whole team came to his defense against the veteran Simmons. In honesty is spoke all the way around, Simmons would probably say he liked the fire himself from the signal caller. Simmons was one of the first to make the QB welcome to Nashville as the two have been on fishing trips together (pictured) in Wards brief time with the organization.
