Caleb Gaskins named to Naismith Trophy High School Player of the Year Midseason Team

Miami basketball signee Caleb Gaskins is one of 25 players selected for the 2025-26 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Boys' High School Player of the Year Midseason Team, as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Thursday.



Gaskins committed to Miami on October 30th and signed shortly thereafter. He is ranked as the No. 2 player from his school to commit to Miami.

Gaskins attends Christopher Columbus High School, which is located less than five miles from Miami's campuss. Columbus currently has a record of 15-6 and is one of the top teams in the state of Florida.

While playing on the Nike EYBL circuit with Nightrydas Elite last spring, he averaged 15.7 points and 7.3 rebounds over 15 games. At the Peach Jam in July, Gaskins averaged 20.0 points and 10.2 rebounds while shooting nearly 60% from inside the arc.

Since 2022, Gaskins has participated in multiple USA Basketball minicamps and was recently invited to the 2025 USA Men’s U19 National Team training camp. He was also a finalist for the 2024 USA U17 Men’s National Team.
