Here is a highlight of Robinson's high shool In white; Lasalle vs Westminster, he is #6 the kid is huge but appears to lack explosion. I can definitely see why the BTW staff said he plays soft.

Lasalle vs Westminster fall 2013 ( Robinson is the WR in white wearing #6)

2nd meeting of Lasalle vs Westminster in 2013 playoffs ( Robinson is #6 in white. He missed a few chances to lay the wood on peel back blocks, which leads one to believe he shy's away from contact)

To be fair, the BTW staff did not say Robinson "played soft". Tim Harris, Jr. just said they need to get some more aggressiveness out of him which is a completely natural thing for when basketball players transition to football full-time.

Well hopefully BTW can turn him into a monster, then pass him on to UM. An if there is one high school program that can make a player hungry and bring that dog out of them its BTW.

I just hope he doesn't turn out like former BTW class of 2010 4* DE Lynden Trail, he spurned UM for UF.

I know Ron a bit. Good kid. He needs to develop some additional aggressiveness and attitude. I look forward to seeing him develop. He was not getting that at LaSalle.

The "soft" rep was around at LaSalle too--football and basketball. I'm not sure if it was that or he just didn't feel like playing much and didn't like his coaches.

Whatever it was, he needs to shake it off and get aggressive. The BTW coaches would do well to spend time building him up mentally as well as physically because what appears to hold Ron back is Ron.

Pending how his season goes and camping. Will determine if we take him.

Think we end up with

Patchan
McIntosh
Livingstone
Strowbridge

Canes sports has an article on the young man if anyone cares to post details.

OK. Cane sport said:

"Miami coaches told me to come to the camp, but I can't do anything yet till my knee gets better," he said.

He tore his meniscus and that is what is slowing down the offers. His coach, Tim Harris Jr. says the kid can run a 4.7 in the 40. [I would like to see that confirmed at a combine because it would be ridiculous if it's legit, but all these measurables tend to get exaggerated in recruiting.]

BTW, half the article just repeated info posted way back in the beginning of this thread.

Thanks Neil.

This sounds like he will have to earn his offer during the season. But being hurt shouldn't prevent him from coming out to UM to watch the camp and pick up some much needed additional coaching.

Don't forget DE Jamie Gordinier from New Jersey, he reminds me of former cane DE Darren Krein.

Would be an asset at TE too

If he is fast and can catch i would love to see him at the position. Unless he is some beast at DE we're loaded at DE and he will sitting for 2 or 3 years before he seen the field at DE.
