Big news dropped Monday afternoon for Hurricanes fans.

Miami guard Tru Washington, who had missed the last couple of games due to personal reasons and even stepped away from the team, is officially back on the roster and is now listed as probable for tonight’s matchup against North Carolina.

That’s massive news for the Hurricanes faithful, especially considering Washington is the cornerstone of Miami’s defensive effort, averaging 2 steals per game on the defensive end. His presence alone changes the tone and intensity of this team.

For those unfamiliar with how this works, ACC schools are required to share an availability report the night before tipoff to provide transparency on player status. Players are listed as:
  • Out (0% chance to play)
  • Doubtful (25%)
  • Questionable (50%)
  • Probable (75%)
Washington landing in the probable category means he has a 75% chance of suiting up tonight.

Huge.
