Yeah, Malik was streaky at best today. He didn’t make any good throws actually.

That one throw to 18 from one sideline to the other in zone was great. Other than that he was pretty much what I expect against a weak opponent.

There wasn’t anything exceptional about Malik & you don’t have a clue if you think he was masterful in the read option.

I’m at a loss as to how anyone could watch that game and think anything other than “Malik Rosier playing against overmatched Group of 5 team.”

Should have kept it a few times which would have been better runs. Still thinks he doesn’t completely understand the situation well

It’s clear he doesn’t. He consistently makes the most idiotic reads

He be guessing out there lol. I’ll give credit where it’s due though, made some good throws on the 3rd down when the defense was getting its *** kicked in the 3rd quarter and he ran the ball tough imo. Generally moved the ball well for the entire game outside a few drives. Good game in the red zone for the offense as well

75% of this board actively roots for Miami to lose and Rosier to look bad so he'll get pulled.

It ****es people off when he plays well, so they try to nitpick and explaIn away his success.

It's just pathetic. Call him **** when he plays like ****, but when he plays well at least have the balls to admit it.

But hey, 75% of CIS thinks its still 1987 so its not really surprising
He made 52% of his passes, AGAINST A GLORIFIED HIGH SCHOOL TEAM. I guess for him that is playing well. You are right.

Yeap..you can tell he guesses.

All I know is his 3 TD’s on the ground & his designed QB runs aren’t enough to get us where we need to be. That just means he’s taking shots which will affect him physically throwing the football later.

LMAO. Half of 12s throws are picks against a semi decent P5 secondary. Y’all think that TD fade isn’t a pick against 90% of P5 secondaries?

Prepare yourselves for the results when conference play begins because this was a mirage.

Exactly what I thought.

Malik’s best game, his upside, his ceiling, is 12 for 23 and a fairly pedestrian yards per attempt against a G5 known for offense and not defense, and we’re supposed to be jumping for joy. Yeah, he had a good game. Clemson looked pretty bad yesterday too, at least for a while, so who knows, maybe we can have a nice season with Malik.

I still see a couple of losses down the road the way this team is playing. Doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the game yesterday, doesn’t mean I’m rooting against the team or anyone for that matter. Just means I’m not going to crown anyone for beating Toledo.

Whatever, people just don’t want to hear realism, so those of us who see things for what they are and not what we hope them to be should just shut up, I guess.

Go Canes. See y’all on Saturday at The Rock.

Man some of you dudes whine and ***** about everything! a win is a win, everyone knows rosier sucks! But he got the job done against them bums that's all that counts!

Are we grading on a curve??? Exceptional? It is exceptional for Malik if he doesn't fall behind early and converts 3rd downs more often than normal, which his normal is about the worst in division I college football! Malik makes Jeff Thomas slow down to catch passes, throws it behind others, routinely. I like the kid, he is a fighter but his QB skills are less than average. We have to survive Rosier or endure him, when we should have a QB that looks like a **** gunslinger throwing to what could be one of the most loaded receiving corps we have ever had. He should be on the field playing like it is Madden football with the weapons he has, and yet we endure watching him wind up his arm to throw as hard as he can with Jeff Thomas eating a sandwich waiting for it to come down. 1st play of every game should be Malik 3 step drop and throw it as far as he can to Thomas and see if he can outthrow Thomas, oh and not throw a pick in the process.

All in all I thought it was a good, not great performance against Toledo. We still have some things to work on and iron out before we start conference play. Given that Rosier is starting I thought he had a decent game. Definitely runs better than he throws but the across the field pass to Cager for the 1st down was a very good pass. Just wish he made more of those consistently. Defense took the 3rd quarter off yesterday. When JJ went out we played horribly. Willis is a man beast though, and had a great game yet again. The kid is going to play on Sundays for sure.

We would have won that game at least 56-10 had Jaquan Johnson not been injured and replaced with Bobby Knowles.

And people would still be bltching.

Weak opponent? You got to be kidding me. Toledo may possibly play in the MAC championship game, again. Now the CornSUCKER'S losing at home to mighty Troy could thought of as a weak opponent.

Yeah. But it was a weak opponent on their turf. Go figure.

Get a grip. He didn’t play well. He played like Malik Rosier playing against an overmatched Group of 5 team. It’s not that big of a deal.

I’m lost , do you really think Toledo is a tough opponent or being sarcastic. You down voted so I guess Toledo is a good opponent.

If you think they’re a tough opponent you’re smart , definitely not dumb .

How’s that for sarcasm?
