I don't know if sark was at school with darnold but other than that QBs have actually regressed with him. Maybe penix was with him, not sure. I've known Sark for a while now and to call this dude a savant at anything would be a little wild. I mean look at Quinn ewers that is the epitome of regression
Penix missed Sark at UDub by a decade. Sark hasn't been there since 2013, Penix transferred from Indiana I think in 2022.
Darnold never really played for him, he went full Charlie Sheen during Darnold's redshirt freshman year. Cody Kessler was the QB both years Sark was at SC. Well, the year and a half.
So what development could any kid say theyve seen with him. Can't think of any worth mentioning

I know we as fans always need something to discuss, debate, and worry about, but to say Mario’s got this is the understatement of the century. Not a worry in the world about recruiting or roster construction going forward.

Carson Palmer and Matt Leinart probably the biggest 2 but that was a long time ago. And Jake locker went top 10 in the draft from Washington even tho he wasn’t ever that good
You can probably point to Norm Chow just as much, if not more, than Sark for Palmer.
Also I believe Lane was there for Leinart.
Sark was the position coach, for sure. But I really don't see many people saying Sark is some QB whisperer. I do think, rightfully or not, most people believe he's a good offensive coordinator overall.
Sark is good at developing a hangover.
