A’mir Sears turns in historic two-way performance
One of the weekend’s more star-studded matchups took place at a neutral site in Ft. Lauderdale, where national powerhouse Las Vegas Bishop Gorman faced Miami Christopher Columbus Both teams featured multiple Power Four prospects across several recruiting classes, but none shined brighter than Miami commit A’mir Sears. The Rivals Industry five-star cornerback put together one of the most complete individual games you’ll see, spurring a huge upset despite his team being 29-point underdogs. Sears made his presence felt on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and defensive back. He caught five passes at receiver and scored twice, one on a go route against Oregon commit Hayden Stepp, a top 100 cornerback, while intercepting three passes on defense. Originally a 2028 prospect, Sears is fresh off his commitment to the Hurricanes and reclassification into the 2027 cycle.Sears’ senior quarterback, Northern Illinois commit Kai Moore, threw for over 400 yards on the day, putting together an extremely strong performance against one of the stronger defensive units in the country. Watching Sears play against Bishop Gorman was like watching Travis Hunter in the Under Armour All-American game. I called people after that game and said Hunter was the best WR and DB in the game. A1 is that. Against the number 1 team in the country A1 was the best WR and DB in the game. It’s outrageous to be that good at that level.
If he writes that again we might just ban him. That would be objectively one of the dumbest things ever written on CIS.

Yawn …I picked off 3 passes in an Intramural game back in 2000 at FSU …plus he was cramping up all game, I thought he was an uber athlete? Downgraded to high 3 star..
