Back to the recruiting board the Hurricanes go.
Mario Cristobal and his staff picked up some good news as four-star wide receiver Jaden Upshaw has trimmed his list down to six schools, and Miami is still right in the mix.
Upshaw, a 6-foot-1, 196-pound receiver out of Leesburg (Lee County), told On3 his finalists are Miami, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Auburn, and Georgia. No commitment date has been set.
The Hurricanes have a family connection working in their favor. Jaden is the younger cousin of Miami wide receiver Daylyn Upshaw, who has seen limited snaps in Coral Gables.
Jaden took in Miami during the Hurricanes’ gameday visit against Florida, a night where Miami handled the Gators 27-6. Since then, he’s stayed busy on the trail, recently visiting Auburn on January 17th as he works through the rest of his finalists.
Upshaw is rated as a four-star prospect, ranked as the 79th-best player in the country, the 17th-best wide receiver in his class, and the 10th-best player in the state of Georgia.
Recruiting never sleeps.
