One of the biggest recruiting weekends for Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff is here. The Hurricanes are set to host over a handful of prospects in the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility, for the Hurricanes yearly Legends Camp.
One of the prospects that will be in the house is coming all the way from out West. Dennis Tua'one, a four-star 6-foot-1, 190-pound wide receiver out of Utah, has set a visit to Miami this weekend. Dennis will be busy during the month of June, scheduling official visits to Arizona (June 8th), USC (June 11th), and Oregon (June 17th).
According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he currently is rated as a four-star prospect and one of the top wide receivers in his class, sitting at the No. 11 in his position group. Dennis is also recognized as the No. 3 player out of the state of Utah.
Dennis currently holds over a dozen additional offers from power five programs, including Miami, Arizona State, BYU, Nebraska, Michigan, Oregon, USC, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, among others.
This past season with the Thunderbirds, he accomplished a total of 33 receptions, 641 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. He also saw playing time at the quarterback position, throwing for 872 yards and four touchdown passes.
The Hurricanes currently have one commitment in the 2028 recruiting class by landing three-star QB Knox Annis. Adding someone like Dennis to the class will give the Hurricanes their first wide receiver commitment of this cycle.
Dennis plays for the Raw Miami 7-on-7 program and has South Florida ties.
