Just for perspective:

Tyson Campbell: Last year we thought we were getting him and he skipped/missed visiting the U with his team for a 7vs7 camp for his test but visited FIU with his parents to meet Bama and OSU.

Tyrique Stevenson: Takes his test and still visits the U with his mom and participates in the camp while skipping the chance later in the day to meet with Bama and UGA(Kirby, Mel etc) coaches at FAU camp. Then returns to the U the very next day to hang out.

Idk if we get Rique(even though it looks great at the moment) but I know for sure he appears a lot more interested than the top DB we chased last year.

This is the truth.

When is the FIU camp this year?

That’s just not true. It can’t be true. When kids go elsewhere it’s “bags” but when they come to Miami it’s...what? Even when Coker/Shannon/Golden were at Miami they could still pull recruits above their coaching station. The big 3 in Florida can ONLY fall but so far (same for USC, TX, PSU...); what I’m saying is that those two schools are bad examples. Fans may not like it, but don’t be surprised if UF and FSU are competing for their respective conference divisions in 2018.

But as far as the elite, elite...it’s about many things. Just like anything else.

Lmfao with those staffs

Calling Dr. Hartley, you're wanted in Emergency Recruitment.

And just to clarify I think we aint angels either, but I have no proof its all pretty much a feeling. TBH no one knows anything as far as what goes on in recruiting its all speculation but with Ole Miss and news that comes out about bag men I lean towards its a dirty business. And also for me AG and those staffs werent good recruiters but for some reason on here they were when u read fans posts, to many kids were leaving sfla. Its less now with this staff but its still to many of the upper echelon of recruits for my taste.

Saban’s saying he gets kids drafted first round and Richt/nobody can’t beat him, Smart is saying he was the one who coached and recruited the kids that Saban sent to the league, and Pruitt says he coached and recruited the athletes that Saban AND Richt sent to the league. They all have a knock on Richt that they can SELL. Doesn’t have to be real or true, it just has to SOUND real or true to a recruit. If I’m a 5* recruit it sounds plausible.

One thing a lot of fans forget is that Florida was like mystery island for OOS schools before Miami started winning championships. Florida, FSU and Miami stockpiled talent. Brian Blades, Michael Irvin, Mel Bratton all redshirted, iirc. Kids left for opportunity at first. And to this day, any coach who takes a job at the FL big-3 starts ahead of the game talent-wise. Maybe not for a Natty, but for the last 15 years very Miami team has been the most talented team in the Coastal.

The recruiting landscape has changed and Miami will have to win and put kids in the 1st round. As the kids say, “business decision”.
Cmon like if MR cant say the same that he sent kids to the league. Ten aint getting anyone and its not magic why they got drafted he selected high rated guys. Thats the way i look at it.....if by the way your saying then FIU should get every db

What's being neglected in these comments is the obvious. You're taking out of the equation that every recruitment is different and personal to that individual recruit... No matter the similarities people will be people. What one kid looks for may be irrelevant to the other.

To understand this phenomena like others, I often turn to the brightest minds throughout history for their words of guidance and discernment.

A famous clan of philosophers once proclaimed: "Cash rules everything around me, C.R.E.A.M., get the money, DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS YA'LL"

This is also true but we never really know 100% whos who until close to NSD, its why sometimes we can think a kid is all UM and then last minute there gone. But your right all kids r different

And let's not forget the parents involved.

I think its about relationships and dirty tactics more than about winning, u cant explain anyone going to UF or FSU last cycle or anyone wanting to play for Agolden. Its always deeper than wins, does it help? Probably but to very few but I notice when its elite elite elite prospects its never about winning. @Brooklyndee whos tied in tells yall whats its about and yall still dont listen

D - now you are talking, for some families dirty tactics win out. Nothing the staff can do about that. If we played those tactics and got caught, everyone would scream! good thing for us, our 2nd and even some 3rd tier players turns out to be better than those 5 stars. this staff don't sleep on local kids, they put in work. Here's to hoping the young man, see's what all of college football is seeing, we are becoming the "it" brand again. campus is buzzing and the money is flowing to give them what they need to compete.
