Four-star 2027 linebacker AJ Randle is set to make his college decision.
On Thursday afternoon, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound standout out of Garner, NC, will announce his commitment on May 21st. He told Rivals first that he will choose from schools such as Miami, South Carolina, Ohio State, Florida, NC State, and the Georgia Bulldogs.
According to 247Sports, Randle currently holds a four-star rating, ranking as the No. 95 player overall in the 2027 class, the No. 6 linebacker, and the No. 5 player in North Carolina.
AJ recently took a visit to South Carolina on May 1st to start his summer official visits. He also has official visits scheduled to Miami (June 5), Ohio State (June 12), and Georgia (June 19). Randle made a Spring visit last month during the Hurricanes practice.
According to 247Sports Director of Scouting, AJ can make plays all over the field with his wide range and hunts down ball carriers to prevent rushing touchdowns.
This past season at Garner High School in North Carolina, he played both offense and defense. His main priority was on the defensive end, where he racked up a total of 84 tackles, six tackles for loss, three forced fumbles, and one interception in 13 games. On the offensive end, he carried the ball 20 times for 119 yards and four touchdowns.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, he currently holds a 91.2% chance to land with Mario Cristobal's Hurricanes. He has two predictions from On3 staff for him to land at Miami. He cut his list of offers to schools like Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Kentucky, and Michigan, among many others.
