2027 athlete Darrian Tomlin out of Woodford County, Kentucky, recently received an offer from the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff. He told CanesInSight that the Hurricanes are currently one of the teams standing out in his recruitment.
"Miami stands very high throughout my recruiting process the coaches seem like they really want me there and they are creating the bond we need," he added. "I would say Louisville and Miami are the two schools recruiting me the most as of now."
Darrian is currently not ranked on any of the major recruiting websites.
He spoke highly of Miami defensive coordinator Corey Hetherman and how the coaching staff is prioritizing him in this class.
"My relationship with Coach Hetherman is pretty good. I’ve gone to go see him, and he’s been here in Kentucky to see me. Every time, I’ve heard good things."
Darrian is still in talks to set up a visit to Miami; however, in the spring, he saw the Hurricanes practice and checked out the facilities and campus.
This past season at running back, he tallied a total of 1,550 rushing yards on 199 rushing attempts. He also added 19 rushing touchdowns while averaging 10.7 rushing yards per game.
