Another day, another recruit puts Miami in his top choices.
Four-star 2027 wide receiver Julius Jones Jr. has trimmed his recruitment down to eight schools, and the Hurricanes are right there in the mix as the process tightens up.
Miami is battling a loaded group for Jones, Along with the Canes, his top eight includes Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas, LSU, Florida, Florida State, and Michigan.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound South Florida standout out of St. Thomas Aquinas is regarded as one of the top receivers in his class. According to 247Sports, he holds a four-star rating and is currently ranked No. 58 nationally, No. 11 at wide receiver, and No. 7 in Florida.
Jones Jr. has already made several trips on the recruiting trail: he has visited Oregon twice during the spring and summer, and he’s also taken in Florida’s campus for a recent visit. He also visited Miami's game against Notre Dame this past season.
During his sophomore season at St. Thomas Aquinas, Jones Jr. racked up 51 receptions for 750 yards in 13 games.
It’s still early in the process, but this is another name Hurricanes fans should remember as recruiting heats up heading into spring and summer.
