Tampa Jesuit 2014 LB Vincent Jackson, Jr. has been an early target for many big-name programs, as he has already racked up more than 30 offers. Among those offers, he says he is talking to Miami, Ohio State, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, and USC.

"I'm looking for a great academic structure and pre-law, because that's what I want to study. Of course a great athletic program too."

When asked what school he is talking to the most, Jackson said "Actually I talk to Miami a lot. I'm talking to everybody every other day basically."

The 235 pound prospect is known for his versatility. He will play tight end as well as middle linebacker this season. He has played outside linebacker and defensive end in the past too.

"I moved to middle linebacker so I'm not gonna be playing D-End anymore. I really like playing linebacker and tight end a lot.

His teammate, Travis Johnson, is a Hurricanes commitment.

"I really don't follow people, but I'm great friends with Travis and definitely him committing to UM made me real happy about it."

Jackson notes that his aggressiveness is something that he wants to improve upon this season.

235 already, that's a big dude.

Peter is he a LB at the next level or is he going to grow into a DE?

I've seen someone say he'll eventually be like Allen Bailey who kept growing and will be a DE. His highlights sure looks like that's where he'll end up imo.

When I first saw him, I thought DE all the way. The problem is he's around 6'1-6'2, which is on the shorter side for a DE. He would be a great blitzing threat from LB, the question is does he have the athleticism to cover from that spot?

no he doesn`t imo.

valid.. could he have a james harrison role. edge rusher who can hold the point of attack, occasionally go after qb. like a 5 technique type.

I don`t see the athletic ability for that. Honestly, I don`t see what the big deal is with Jackson.
