In fairness, when Manny was on the hotseat nobody knew Miami would pay the new coach 8 mil and increase assistant's pay to these heights, build another new building, pump tens of millions more a year into football, have a revolt on the BOT, hire an AD that focuses almost completely on football, bring in tons of analysts at each position group and recruiting, etc. Given the Miami hiring history at AD, President, and head coaches, (trust the process) it's easy to understand why someone would have wanted to stay with the known before getting a coach from the WAC.

You know what I've come to realize in the past couple of months? (even more than I had previously thought) The biggest blame should lie with Blake James. It was his JOB to make sure he asked for and received everything he needed to make athletics successful. His issue was he was limited. Limited in experience and limited in vision. And he was scared; scared of rocking the boat and of the unknown.... He was fortunate to have his job as long as he did before other Admin paid attention. If he hadn't been so inexperienced and limited, he would have NEVER settled for Manny.
