I've always believed that defenses have it easier in the first couple weeks of camp. Are you saying that's no longer a good rule of thumb? ... Also, it is not out of the question that our offense is good while at the same time our defense is bad. Which is essentially what I believe to be the case.

p.s. even if we accept the offense is good, that doesn't mean we don't need a WR1, OT, backup QB and backup RB in the portal. Because the quality of our depth is paper thin.
Defenses only have it easier if you’re running some highly complicated, 199 page playbook offense. Right now we’re installing a brand new offense and defense, the simplicity of the new offensive system makes it easier to execute right off the bat.
