I know our 2nd elite class are only true freshman and you really still do need to give this a little more time but, for the sake of my guy ****, Mario has to win with this roster. There are a lot of good football players here, led by a stud QB and good lines. Let’s ******* go.
 
Kirk - was this a poor eval by Zo and the staff?
Redding - nice locker room guy, but time to move on
Logan S - not D1 caliber
Denis - will never contribute
Zion - time to politely ask him to move on/retire
Campbell/Gore - we can't have them eating up 2 spots. Keep whoever is better of those two
Freeney - same as Kirk, had some buzz coming in but has done absolutely nothing
Balom - We convinced him to come back...why? Time to move on
Markeith Williams - if he can't get it going this spring, might be time to move on

Not saying I completely disagree but you’re going to ask two of our four scholarship safeties to leave?

If they can’t cut it and make the best out of this opportunity, time to move on from them and bring in better talent.

Why did Mario bring in another kicker in this last class? Murray better be ******* good after Andres if you are using 2 ships on kickers. Also tell Zion to retire. Guy hasn’t played in 2 years and he’s just taking up space now.

There are actually 7 scholarship safeties on the roster.

Mishael Powell RSR (Coach Guidry has stated that he will play both nicks and safety)
Brian Balom RSR
Jaden Harris RJR
Markeith Williams RJR
Savion Riley RSO
Zaquan Patterson FR
Isaiah Thomas FR

And there is still PWO Isaiah Taylor who has starting experience.

We can stand to drop Brian Balom & Markeith Williams while replacing them with one starting caliber safety from the portal and this team will be more than fine at the position.

A rotation of Portal Safety, Harris, Powell, Riley, and Patterson will be more than enough.

If they are going to grab another portal safety, yes. Otherwise depth is a concern. Powell is going to be our nickel in base so that leaves Riley and ??? as starters with true freshman likely the backups. Although Patterson is probably going to play a lot regardless.

The coaches have said multiple times that Jaden Harris has taken the next step and is the starter. He is 6-1 190 with lots of speed and game experience. He will start. Riley will likely be the backup to whomever they bring in from the portal.

Greyshirt the new kicker for sure because you can't just ask Campbell and Gore to leave when you convinced them to come here at such a late stage in their respective careers.

Other greyshirt candidates may include Russell, Frederique, Rudolph, Minaya
