Storm Johnson
His acceleration was top tier, but by no means was he a burnerDuke Johnson had some wheels as a freshman
This… while he was super fast he reached his top end speed very quickly. His acceleration was top tier, but by no means was he a burner
Nice work… as far as EJ’s numbers go a 4.38 40 almost always translates to much faster than a 10.8 100. That 100 time must be from early college maybe even HSChris Johnson 10.25 20.40

Yes I agree. I just can not find anything on him from his high school or any other track times. Maybe someone from that area or went to that high school can find out. EJ just said he never ran any slower than a 10.8. With a 4.38 speed I figure he would be a 10.6 at least with that 220 weight. EJ was big and fast and killed it in the NFL.. Hall of famer for a reason. Frank Gore was a 4.4 before his injuries and ended up at 4.5 at the NFL combine.Nice work… as far as EJ’s numbers go a 4.38 40 almost always translates to much faster than a 10.8 100. Lamar Miller maybe
He was at a 10.56 before Chris Johnson. We will see how CJ can play running back.Frank Gore said he was the fastest back he'd ever seen at UM.
His one crazy td run against Georgia Southern was like watching someone on a different speed level than most lol.Froggy Shipman (on turf) was faster than any UM RB ever.
Ahh….Carlos Jones.Froggy took everyone's $$$ at GreenTree back in the day....even while he was in the Canadian FB League, he'd come back and lay waste. Only a few could run with him....Carlos Jones was one. He was the 2nd fastest player on the 94 team.
Who do you have on your list? Guys that once they got into the open field, they were gone.
Little used Al Shipman was a burner back in the day. Tony Gaiter was very fast although I think he was moved to WR.
James Jackson before the ankle injury, Frank Gore his freshman year was lightning quick! James Stewart could pick em up and put em down!Who do you have on your list? Guys that once they got into the open field, they were gone.

This new running back we have, i think his name’s Lofton… he’d have dusted Froggy on turf… plus he’s tUf n fYzIcAl between the tackles.Shipman....I personally watched him Dust
Kevin Williams and
Jammi German among others. Even whipped Hester 10yrs after leaving UM.

Averaged 10,1 yds per carry....Highest % in UM History.Anybody got video of Froggy? Got good burn in ‘94 but can’t find any video.
That it was uphill still impresses me...Barefoot... glass shards embedded in the turf.
he had the original spark score because he was around for the invention of fireYou joke, but he had one of the highest SPARQ scores in the 2007 recruiting class
