it's hard to judge the coaching when the effort and the players have been so bad. It's on coaches to have them ready and in the right head space but this is ridiculous

It shouldn't require a coach to tell you to play hard, and to take pride in putting on a uniform. Even when I was on garbage teams growing up, I would want to bust my ***, because even though the team may suck, I'm going to shine. That's basic self interest.
