^ agree with this everyone assumes that people want to live in coral gables and near the water but reality is the vast majority of people would probably like to live in a quieter town with way less traffic, better schools, more land, way less expensive, nicer people, etc. the list goes on

strong only would have leverage if we couldn't find anyone to come as DC which isn't the case i don't think he has leverage at all as he's not necessary nor will we be desperate to find someone who wants to be DC at a place like miami. especially after it led to a HC job for manny and OC here...

the only valid reason i can think of that leonhard is still unemployed is that he's waiting until all nfl jobs are filled... that or he's got some issue that we fans are unaware of

he also worked for Mario as DC for one year and they led the sun belt in total defense, scoring defense, and turnover margin tha tyear success at multiple stops, collins is solid and has familiarity with mario

Yeah I do think Steele is an excellent coordinator but if we can land Geoff Collins who is luckily now available then I’d take that trade any day of the week Hopefully he’s up to the idea of working for Mario again

I do think we would have had a very solid defense with steele this year but after what was put on the field last year, I certainly am not upset about a change with both coordinators only up from here

I could see Charlie strong getting the job but don’t want him to Geoff Collins I think would be an incredible hire so that’s my early hopeful pick

He’s the primary play caller and people know that, he won’t gain anything by taking a sole DC job anywhere, at least in my opinion

can we all agree to drop the schumann talk he's the DC for the national champions who will be looking for a 3 peat this year, he has absolutely no reason to leave for anything but a HC job it's even dumber than the brian hartline talk for OC

I checked last week out of curiosity and houston was ranked 123rd in scoring defense

Ryan Walters is young and has a good rep. Brett Bielema hired him as DC at illinois and they have the top scoring defense and top yardage defense in the entire country in his first year. They are also 2nd in ypp defense now this is big 10 so take the rankings with slight grain of salt but still...
