So what happened here?

Sure does seem like Takaylen “T.K.” Muex took his place as a project OT. As to whether they shifted To Muex because they think his ceiling is higher or because of some other factor, that will be interesting to find out.

But it is interesting to see the Muex offer and rapid OV scheduling out of nowhere and then suddenly Williams is dropped. IDK this is a coincidence.

False information
From Geo's podcast today

Takaylen “T.K.” Muex

  • Rapid riser

Lamar Williams

  • Considered a project
  • Miami has been doing spring evals
  • Miami dropped after evals, not a decommit

Hate to speculate on a HS kid but Miami dropping him after recent evals as a "project" tells me that he has bad work ethics. Probably Leonard Taylor similarities...physically gifted but lazy to work and maximize that physical gift. Hope he figures it out and does great things moving forward. I trust this staff with evals.

That avi literally made me LOL

Anytime people talk about OLine evals for more developmental prospects in a negative light I just laugh, cause I know no more than maybe a handful of people on here, watch any OL tape at all - or at least more than one highlight tape once lol.

Exactly! I am sure this kid has tremendous upside to have the staff commit him early...you can't always project how a kid is going to act once committed. Those are battles I'm willing to lose. Don't want to keep a kid that would be a culture cancer to save face on the OV and commit. Get rid of them early and keep grinding. The right kids will back fill.

Very poor eval…

But at least they severed ties before the kid reached campus.

actually, it's a good eval because they didn't stop evaluating, they continued with their due diligence. they didn't just rely upon initial review, but kept working and building on new information. that's the very definition of good evaluation. something other UM coaching staffs did not do.
