Zion vs Johnson

Kier Thomas will be a handful int his one. He is beginning to come around and THIS game is his Super Bowl.

Johnson also will be a headache.

Lashlee cannot just inside zone to death because that is something they can defend...need to get Knighton out on their LBs who other than Gardner arent that athletic.

I honestly dont feel that good about this game as i did earlier in the year....mainly because our defense is some sh*t, and fsu running qb against our 5.0 40 lbs in space is a problem and they may be dumb enough to figure out they can win by just running the ball...since they cant even pass or pass block.
 
Legit question, for all the problems this defense shows, has a running QB (one that can't throw) ever gave Manny's D issues?
I remeber an UVA (not sure on that) QB that was known to be a runner throwing well against us, but by the most part I don't remember a run first QB being successful against our defense.

EDIT: Searched the game, it was 2019 and UVA scored 9 points (lol), but had 21 1st downs and converted 10/19 3rd downs. I think that was the memory that I was having, they keeping drives alive.

Last weeks game! GT QB did well.. well enough to win. They didn’t play any defense though. UVA QB this year. Running QBs give us fits each year because we cannot tackle when we get to them. They always make the spy miss smh. We don’t stack the box VS them and force them to beat us with their arms. We play soft zone with stupid delay safety blitzes that never get there

I have to disagree with you, GT QB was awful, if he played only poorly they would had won. They couldn't sustain drives at all, The only drive he played well was the second scoring drive where they picked up a few 1st downs.

UVA QB i didn't see the whole game, so I can't call it, but looking at the stats they had 23 1st downs and 9-18 3rd down conversions.

He played better than he did VS every other team he has played besides the scrub free wins. That’s a problem. He didn’t look all acc obviously but he looked like scam Newton when he ran because we cannot tackle. He couldn’t throw anything besides a screen but we obviously could not cover those because we chose to play soft zone. He is trash but we made him look better than he is. Fact!

LOL this is why you gotta take what you read on this board with a grain of salt. Sims had his worst game of the season on Saturday.

Be smart, folks. Use your own judgement, do your own research.

Imagine a QB completing 55% of his passes for barely 5 yards an attempt and negative rushing yards being made to look better than he is LMAOOOOOOO.

How quickly have you forgot that Zion handled Will Anderson so well that he was relegated to playing right end 2nd quarter and beyond. Zion handled Patrick Jones and Reshad Weaver last year as well. He's nowhere near the most talented guy on that list. I'm more worried about keir getting 1 v. 1 with Vaughn on a blitz because they love outside blitzes.

Sure or their other end got hurt and they figured out how awful our RT was that game and decided to match their best player on the team
Against our worse that game.
 
Johnson is another edge guy from UGA in the mold of Lorenzo Carter and Azeez Ojulari. It’s actually a good matchup for the type of OT that Zion is. Really just worried about the defense
