Big 8 got similar treatment before The U made beating the crap out of NE and OU a regular habit. Actually, the rise of Miami helped the SEC to grow into the monster it is today. In addition to raping thee Big 8, Miami's rise pulled noles up with it and showed gators how to win something too. Once the three FL teams dominated, the SEC began to focus more and more on our players and style. Like Washington, NE and coaching staffs they began to observe everything thing we did. Like it our not, we are part of the South and those schools are not the aliens to our kids many would like them to be. Before Howard, the only school recruiting So FL was OU and mostly just RBs. Once we faded, our kids became easy pickings.
