Did everyone forget that we predicted year 3 to be the year that we compete at a high level? Im ****ed like a mf that we're not there yet but this is only year 2. Alot of Golden's sleeper picks are still playing primary roles. Our best players are only freshmen and sophmores. Our top rb injured early season. Our second rb behind Homer is a converted freshman receiver. Our QB should be starting for Alabama Birmingham. Our best db is a short freshman and most of the others wouldnt have received an offer from Richt. We have no depth at most of our positions yet.
With all that being said, we actually did pretty well. Richt and Diaz are being called out but they actually did pretty good in just their second season with underwhelming talent.
We just lost to a team that should be in the playoffs, we lost to a team that might win the championship and we lost to Pitt because our QB should be at UAB. With an above average QB, Walton, Richards and Herndon, we could've won all 3. Next year we will have two capable QB's, depth at the rb position with a superstar coming in, more talent at receiver and major talent upgrades at db.
I hate the way we ended the season but overall with everything factored in I believe the season was a success and im excited for year 3.
