WR room needs to kick it up a notch

Whoever the QB is next year, he will need WRs to get open and catch the ball -- starting with the old thought that if it hints your hands you should catch it and then moving on the great catches and big time plays. Question for everyone, was Marino a better QB with or without Mark Clayton? Even Brady get better with that big bad TE in the game and healthy. A sniper does not need the target to catch the rounds but a QB does need WR to do his part. Rosier was horrible the last two games and bad in the Orange Bowl, but he also did not get the "big time players, making big time plays" in those games either and that includes Braxton for the most part. And keep in mind, we were up 14 -3 against WI -- if defense was great that should have been enough -- WI is not OU.

Not trying to get off the topic .but every portion and player on our team need to take their play up several notches before we can take on the big dogs of college football

I know Richards was hurt a lot, understood, and Rosier was average at best but check this out: Braxton Berrios led the team with 92 targets along with 59 receptions. He received a receiving grade of 80.2 from Pro Football Focus, which ranked him as the 87th best receiver in the country. So our “best,” WR is the 87th best nationally? Not good enough from our WR room if we want to be in the playoff picture.

Can’t catch the ball if your QB is Stevie Wonder

Cannot blame it all on our QB... sorry statement that gets tossed around too often

When your QB consistently misses throws and rarely if ever puts the ball in catchable spots, then it is mostly on him. Rosier's misses were beyond bad, he would overthrow guys regularly, he would miss open receivers regularly. If you look at a lot of Berrios' catches, you'll notice that he had to dive, or do something else crazy in order to make what should have been routine catches.

Every WR is going to have some drops, even GOATs have dropped a pass here and there. The problem is that for most of the season, these guys didn't even have a chance to make a play on the ball, because Rosier couldn't put the ball anywhere near them on a regular basis. Look at how he struggled to place simple screen passes.

WRs aren’t perfect atm but the good things is we’re about to see a great infusion of talent there. This is on top of QB that’s hopefully better than the last, which almost always makes up for a lack of WRs.

I hate to use our rival as an example, but how different of a team was fsu after they were allowed to switch Ej Manuel for Winston?

Richards runs many lazy routes, and his body language is terrible. He's a guy that can easily be taken out of a game mentally, and that's not a good sign (sulking after a bad play, etc).

I am not as high on him as many of you are, because of those traits.
