It was not intended to be provocative politically, but more general news about our former assistant, Tommy Tuberville. If it was intended to be provocative, just provocative about football (and perhaps other sports) figures entering politics. Not intended to make any statements in support of or against any person or political position.

I said nothing, absolutely nothing, supporting or not supporting one would-be politician. I mentioned one Republican and one Democrat, and made no judgements about either.

Mods are very touchy, to the point of being paranoid. A real double standard--is the Demetrious Jackson thread locked?

I tried to make a post explaining my intent and to respond thoughtfully to one nasty and unjustified attack on me but I was locked out.

Unfortunately my wise old man, I mean this with sincere respect, we live in a world of uber sensitivity to the ridiculousness in the media (by this I mean in all forms). Funny thing is, and this was my experience when I was a national sales manager in the cigar world, I travelled more than half the year for 4 years throughout the whole United States. I came across and spoke and hung out with every kind of American, race, color and creed you can think of. And I can honestly say, based on my experience and exposure to it, that most people find this type of behavior and uber sensitivity ridiculous and dumb.

It is a lack of courage and willingness by mods and those of this site and any other site, to go against te grain of this behavior in the media, face the “backlash” that is only on social media and not the real world, and allow for open conversation.

And to the mofos on both sides of the political aisle, who share the common love for our U, but get all “offended” and sensitive, grow a pair you bunch of Sallies and unwad the panties from your vaginas. Act like **** grown ups who have real **** to tend to. There more important ****e to think about and do, for Christ’s sake GAME OF THRONES BEGINS IN A WEEK YOU FOOLS, we ain’t got time for this nonsense

I like the threads where we argue and take sides. For me, Cane brothers are always forgiven. Take one like Chuck Todd. I doubt I agree with anything the man says but he is a Cane and I would still have a grind with him. Whereas, I would never drink with a gator if they agreed with everything I believe. I mean, I really like Trump but I would trade his second term for another NC in a minute. Don’t tell my wife, she really likes him.

Don’t beat yourself up. It was a good thread. Some of us tossed each other around a little but we are Canes. The Blades use to actually fight. Even stupid Canes and mean Canes are still brothers.

Seems you're being touchy and paranoid more than anyone. It's a battle to keep football threads about the content and not personal feelings Just because "your intention are pure". Doesn't stop the fact that every political thread goes sideways. Just like every other ****** OT thread does.

I explained why it was locked. You knew who locked the thread. Instead of being vague. Why not message me???
