RIP, king.
I don't get it
And our rivals, being the classy gents they were, used it to negatively recruit against us. (And it worked)Marlin Barnes would have been 51. He was murdered in 1996, my final year of law school. In the apartment building I lived in a few years earlier, in my final year of undergrad.

Bowden too. And Mickey Andrews.
Between this one and Shane Curry, I'm all negative now. Senseless and unnecessary acts in both cases. Awful.

Pata makes me stomach turn still to this day. Not that the others weren't tragic - they certainly were. However knowing that Pata got gunned down by a fúckkin teammate is next level.Add in Pata and ST. We went through a huge rough patch for our football players and alumni. These are the guys that paid the ultimate price. Lots of other guys were in life threatening situations. I know it can happen to anyone at any time. But I do think CG and Miami in general are much safer now than in years past.
Are Amato and Andrews still alive? If so, I hope they get shingles.
Both still kicking.. because ******** live forever. Are Amato and Andrews still alive? If so, I hope they get shingles.
R.I.P. # 56 , Gone too Soon.
The question then is how can we prevent these sorts of senseless acts of violence in the richest & most free nation on Earth? All completely senseless and innocent people being murdered while simply trying to live their lives. I have no mercy in my heart for any of their killers and the incredibly selfish acts which took the lives of productive members of society at the hands of useless losers.
This clearly leads to a longer discussion about gun control/access. But your point is well taken. When I was a prosecutor in Atlanta what I (we) all saw was that a small percentage of people committed a large percentage of the crime. Which means that repeat offenders are a drain on the criminal justice system, and society as a whole. The question then is how can we eliminate these sorts of senseless acts of violence in the richest & most free nation on Earth?
Either, more has to be done to eliminate losers in a capitalist society, or we have to make it more difficult for losers to attain firearms.
If we are unwilling to take the necessary actions, then I guess we have accepted that senseless loss of life is inevitable in our society. But then why even make these sorts of threads at that pt?
