It ain't the 80's/90's no more, you can't use youth as an excuse. Every single major championship contending program starts young players all over the field at multiple positions, even the most important ones... Every single one of them.

The "youth" excuse is one of the dumbest things our fans eat up every year from our various failed coaches.

It's 2019. Kids are ready to plug and play more than ever. Programs lose kids to the draft and transfer all the time. Underclassmen have to play more than ever and succeed at a higher rate than ever.

This excuse pushed by our slimeball coaches and idiot fans where you need a roster like Notre Dame in the 1940s that's starting 22 redshirt seniors in order to win is the dumbest shlt ever.

Brevin starts anywhere he goes. GR would play a lot. Maybe start. Maybe a 1A/ 1B situation. A year from now, GR starts anywhere

If your freshmen are really good you better play them in their freshmen year. They will only be here for 3 years then enter the draft. Brevan will gone after next season.

Jeff Thomas would be suspended at other schools also is my guess.

it is not about starting freshman. It is about starting good freshman who are ready. Nelson is not ready to start but has to. Payton might get more playing time but we can sit him because we have Osborne. You would rather sit the freshman to develop. When a freshman plays that means there was a development issue or an injury issue at the position.
