I suppose anything’s possible, but it just wouldn’t make sense. Look at the job he left to come here. He had a program that was at a level to compete for NC’s, with among the finest facilities in the country, and Phil Knight’s open checkbook. He left that for what was essentially a dumpster fire here that nobody had been able to restore to prominence for 2 decades. (Thank God that Herbie decided to call out the BOT that morning on Gameday, which set all this into motion.) Regardless of what anyone thinks of him, Mario’s here because it’s in his heart to be here. I just don’t see him being drawn by offers of “come to where the grass is greener”.
