Will we cut down the penalties?

I haven’t seen anyone really discuss this much on the board and I think it’ll be extremely critical for us to do so in order to make the playoff. We’ve become so numb to back breaking, brain dumb penalties from our teams the past 20 years and last year was no exception. We ranked 118th in the country in penalties.. no bueno. I keep hearing how the culture has taken massive steps forward and I believe it has but when are we gonna see that start to translate on the field? The margin for good to great is razor thin and an area like penalties can be the ultimate difference.

It's not discussed because everyone expects it to continue. Penalties are apart of the culture.

I have been watching the Canes for 45+ years, and I can tell you that since 1990-ish () we *will* get flagged for **** that no other team in the country is flagged for. So just embrace it.

This is the facts basically subtract 2 penalties a game from our total if we are any other team. BS holding. Nonsense pi and pf. Ticky tackiest of **** on specials. They call **** you can only find in the addendum of the rulebook on us every year

The refs were abysmal in the second half, particularly on that one ND drive. A lot of the penalties against us were horse ****.

Unfortunately it's probably not going to change. It's part of the CFB refs DNA. They see the U, they throw more flags..

PI against ZP us was garbage. Swear the official just threw it because Freeman was in is ear.

Block in the back against us was garbage.

They missed a bunch of extra curricular where ND should’ve been flagged. But called one on us for tackling … wtf.

Missed one or two ND PIs on Toney.

All at crucial times too.
