Just saw this on Twitter. At first glance I thought it was a FAMU tweet. Then I realized it was from the Canes.

I thought the uni changes were alright at first but nah. After two smoke and one green travesties, I'm ready to say The U is losing their identity with all this.

White Helmet with orange/green jersey and white pants or all white. Keep it simple. Keep it classic. Keep it The U.

You get it bro. The Christmas ornament helmet was the nail on the coffin for me. Nothing worse than getting beat up in those cute uniforms.

It seems as though they may be sporting that orange lantern tomorrow.
 
Nothing about the program resembles what it used to be, all the way down to christmas tree ornament helmets.
 
Oh you meant will we be able to tell them apart because their uniforms will be similar. I thought you were asking because of a different, more depressing reason.

Of course we'll be able tell the team's apart.....we'll be the team with the group of incompetent jackasses on the sideline!
 
I think our new green jerseys are the best ones by far (in part because I don't love the new shoulder bar and the green blends in). Not sold on the orange helmets though. I'll reserve judgment until I see them in action, but I'm skeptical.

The sickest combo I saw was the regular white helmets with green jerseys and green pants. The ones Dorsett wore in the photos. Filthy.
 
I'll stick with the theme I posted in the, "When did Golden lose you?" thread. We have no idea what we are doing. That's why I'm not fixated on losing Golden. The people who would chose his successor are responsible for those uniforms.

Overmatched people make lousy decisions. We're stuck. I can't believe fans are expending so much energy as opposed to recognizing the big picture.

The kids should have no say in the uniforms. The program and administration are supposed to be strong enough at the top to understand the value of a classic uniform that survives generation after generation. I already knew we were in trouble entering this season given the quarterback situation but once I saw the uniforms at the so-called spring game it was further verification that the athletic department is flailing and overreacting.

What classic uniforms are you talking about? Specifically when the uniforms have changed about every 5 years since the mid 90s. The longest time we've had uniforms were the abominations we had before the ones unveiled at the spring game. Some how the 2000 uniforms which weren't traditional in any sense didn't mean much to on field production and didn't speak negatively on the administration.

Me too. I thought you were referencing performance. Our team plays like their team . . .

Of course that couldn't be true, as FAU is aggressive. No talent, but they're at least aware of the purpose of the game.
 
That uniform combo is atrocious and embarrassing. Any so called fan that is ok with that isn't ok with me.
