Schools approach other schools all the time to talk to their coaches (during the season) while in a coach search i.e. Florida with McElwain last year.

Schools can also contact agents, and send out out feelers.

This is what most of schools like USC are doing right now, and why they're getting a head start on the search as not to miss on a potential good coach becoming available, and snatched up by another team.

Miami...I mean...Blake James (who should also be fired)...is literally doing it *** backwards.

If Golden is fired at the end of the season, we will be late to the party since 4 teams have already fired their coach.

But don't worry, we'll just hand over a boat load of money to Chuck Neinas to do god knows what.

It would be almost impossible to put together a staff during the middle of a season. Would the potential coordinators simply up and leave their teams before the season is over? I don't think I've ever seen that happen.

No one said anything about replacing coaches mid term.

Butch can HIRE/ARRANGE/SELECT/GET ON BOARD his coordinators, and likely fill out of number of position coaching positions. They won't COME until the end of the season.
