I hope other noticed our safety too frequently dropping 20 yards deep from the line of scrimmage. I know Rodgers and Highsmith are slow but that's ridiculous.

You dont even know what you're talking about....

Somebodies job has to be covering the "field" on defense, and its usually Rayshawn Jenkins that plays deep not Kacy Rodgers.

I think you're referring to when the defense rotated from a two deep look into a single high safety set. The middle of the field safety usually is deep at a depth of 15-20 yards. Coach D rotated down a lot against the owl. It will be interesting to see how he does against the gator. I look for more split safety looks where the safeties are aligned at 8-10 yards deep. That's a cover 4 look where you're basically playing a nine man front. Stop the run and force throws to the numbers.

Kacy Rogers had a really good game. Will be the most improved player IMO

D Bush looked like he was walking with a gimp.fwiw, could mean nothing.

I was in the 400 section for the game and that safety retreat got us burnt on a running play. The safety literally took himself out of the play and all you could do is shake your head, I believe it was Highsmith. I must admit Casey Rodgers has become a very physical safety back there, I really cant say the same about Highsmith.

More details needed. Please explain the play a little more in depth. Score, time, down and distance may have lead to the call. Were there other breakdowns on the play?

Coach D needs this information before Saturday at noon.

Let's get to work here guys.

This guy knows his stuff.

And Rayshawn Jenkins still almost got burnt on a deep ball over the middle. (granted he took a bad angle)

This. Everyone used to ***** about having 2 deep safeties playing cover 2. Is this what we're gonna ***** about now? We wanna play with zero safeties back?

We really are to the point where people come on here to ***** just for the sake of *****ing. :ohlord:

Fau 102 ranked offense last year. Rotated 3 qb's vs Miami all garbage. Looks like more of the same from this group. No comment either way as fau offense is complete garbage.

This thread brought back some memories.

At one time we had Kacy Rodgers and A.J. Highsmith starting at safety.

And people want to tell me how talented we were?

Those guys were brutal.
