Why the BOT will hire Butch

If they at all care about money like they have shown with past cheap hires then they will hire Butch. Butch will bring excitement to the program that no other coach could(even if we really can shell 4 million out for a coach)

Season ticket holders will sky rocket. Games will sell out and lots of miami merchandise will be bought.

We don't have the same issues as Houston. Houston is probably a three way fan split between LSU, TAMU and UT. Thats not to mention all the other schools in the state.
 
Our fans are split between the Fins, the Beach and any other reason not to go to a game
- has ALWAYS been the case

Even when we were winning titles, opposing fans at FSU, ND and UF would buy a season ticket just to attend their team coming to the OB
 
It's possible that a lot of the perceived indifference towards Butch (whether true or not) by some on the bot is just part of negotiations.. Not that Butch has any leverage to use against UM, it's just as a matter of principle that you would still want to negotiate and not appear too interested at first.. it makes paying Al Golden's buyout a lot easier.

They have a 40K seat stadium. They should sellout. If Miami played in a 40K seat stadium, it would be full.

This is a non-issue.

Plus, we're already a Power 5 school.
