Why is DJ back on KR's and not Lingard or Pope?

Let's spare DJ the punishment, plus, as good as he is, I'd like someone fast back there. I could also see Pope back there. Is there a fear of putting our fastest players back there because they're frosh and they may fumble? JT makes sense, because he can change the game, but why not give Lingard or Pope a crack at those touches?

Agree, at least in second half when we are leading start giving Pope and Lingard a shot.

Yeah if they aren’t getting touches on offense at least get them some touches on special teams

Man, you said it! Either fire Hartley or reassign him, but ST's, except for Bubba, who's kind of doing his own thing anyway, has been dreadful!

I think reassigning him would be the best course of action but I am not sure if the justification for paying him what they do is that he has "coordinator" as his title. He's a valuable recruiter to the staff and does a solid job with the tight ends.

I agree when we're up big, to give the shmen a shot at it. When we're playing FSU, Clemson, VT, and the game is close, I know I can trust DJ to bring us a solid return and not do anything stupid.

I was looking for Lingard and Cam Davis on special teams last night but did not see either on the field. Im assuming they are both redshirting this year.

C. Davis who is build like a block at 5-9 and about 200 and ran an official 10.94--100m in high school would be another good option.

Yeah it is odd we have Banda coaching safeties, Rumph coaching CB's Patke with LB's and Simpson with Dline and Manny overseeing everything and Richt over him, yet Hartley gets TE and ST with only Richt over him.

We have CJR doing only QB's, we have a CB Coach Rumph, S coach Banda, Diaz does LB's, but we also have Patke doing OLB's.

In general, I like all of the guys we have on staff. I personally think Jon Richt should be assigned an off-field coaching role, rather than using up one of our ten on-field coaching spots. Regardless, one way or another, we need to do better on special teams. My point in noting the first sentence above, is that it just seems like we've got room to hire another big name, big resume coach to the staff, hopefully one that's got Grade A Prime special teams chops.

We need to get back to where special teams are our weapon, not a liability.

Bring back Coach Sol!

I’d like to see Lingard and Davis as gunners on the punts, like Homer. For some reason, I think they’d like doing it.
