The BOT and major donors only care about two things. One, the image of the program is distanced from the ‘Thug U’ of the past, and two, the program is not a complete embarrassment. Golden was only fired following a 58-0 home loss on national TV, the worst home loss in history. Everyone knew Al Golden was never going to elevate the program back to NC/CFP contenders. An 8-win season is acceptable to the BOT.

I’m beginning to think the only way changes are made is a major donor(s) step in with enough money to force the issue. A benefactor like Phil Knight at Oregon.
