Why are we discussing Gary Patterson?

I really think Patterson is the best coach in college football. I'd go 1. Patterson 2. Saban 3. Meyer; if there was any chance he leaves TCU we'd have to outbid everyone. Someone(USC, LSU) will throw him 6+ million which we will not match. Why do people think we can land this guy?

His name is all over the board right now, am I missing something big here?

If that's the case there's no reason discussing anybody other than Butch or some AAC coach. Money isn't the only factor in choosing a job.

Essentially, we are doing the same the search committee is doing. Throwing names out regardless of whether they are remotely possible or even worth a Sht all the while Butch has begged for the job.

We will end up with some ******* and Butch will go to UCF and end this program once and for all.

The longer we wait to make the right hire (Butch Davis), the greater the chance that this ends up in disaster once again. People never learn. We have the chance to date Halle Berry, yet wanna put her on hold while we pursue Katy Perry, Kate Upton, etc..

Halle Berry is still a 10. When she tells us to kick rocks and we end up with Quasimodo, all you fools are gonna cry, moan and bytch.

But as with all of the Folden apologists, you will all have contributed to the problem.

Cause people think were some dynasty that coaches are fighting for the privelege to coach this team. Gary would only leace TCU for the NFL if that. He loves it there and doesnt give a dhit about miami. Same for gundy.

Butch Davis isn't Halle Berry. That's what u wackos don't understand. Smfh are u a scared scared man.
 
You kick the tires with Gary Patterson. If he tells you no, he tells you no. I like Butch as well, but he isn't a 10 as a coach. Meyer and Saban are 10's, Dantonio is right up there with them. Butch is around an 8. Better than Golden who was in the negatives. But ****, ya'll setting yourselves up for disappointment. You act like Butch is going to replicate everything. I think he'll do good down here, but everyone acts like he's a god. He has his faults just like every other coach.

If you could get Patterson or Dan Mullen today at $4.5MM, it's a done deal, sign it up.

If people haven't figured it out by now, Butch is a backup and UM is hunting bigger names
 
Um...because we're considering everybody? Literally EVERYBODY, I spoke to the committee earlier today.
 
I don't see Patterson going anywhere. If he want to leave, he could have bolted several times already.

LOL Butch isn't to go to UCF and commence a massive rebuild project at age 64.

It's Miami or a comfy ESPN job for Butch - he's not going anywhere else.
