Who would be the top 5 on Alabama and Clemson's hire list if they needed a new coach?

To sum it up....the administration at the University of Miami could put together a "top 20" list and NONE of those 20 would be looked at by either Alabama or Clemson.

The thing is, those schools care about winning...and being elite. There are foreign concepts in Coral Gables.

Clemson would hire Brett Venables.

People forget Jimbo being HCIW for Bowden, winning a natty and having a heisman trophy winner like it happened in 1975...

Alabama could afford to go to China and using new advances in CRSPR technology insert Saban's DNA into a clone of Bear Bryant. The mouth breathing taxpayers of Alabama would happily foot the bill while children remain illiterate in their public schools.

We avoided Mike Leach again. That made this a terrific Sunday.

And Dabo would not leave Clemson for Alabama. Not unless somehow there was a combination of wearing out his welcome at Clemson while still a hot commodity at Alabama. Dabo can be alone as legend at Clemson, far surpassing Danny Ford. He's merely on the list at Alabama and not likely to far well in the comparison.

People on here acting like we would come close to paying anything in the range of a Bama/Clemson top 5 candidate.

Clemson would have hired a position coach with no HC experience and not even a coordinator!

OSU? Ryan Day. Alabama and Clemson would go back to just another school as they were before Saban and Dabo.
