Who to root against for our NCAA seeding prospects...

Too much talk about the AP poll here etc., IMO. For my own clarity I thought I'd look at current projected seedings to see who we need to overcome/stay ahead of. Thought I'd share it in case anyone else wanted to see it this way too. I used the ESPN Bracketology for better or worse. I really want us to get a #3 seed to avoid the #1's for as long as we can. That's my main goal, I'm trying not to get cute with it. Obviously passing a #2 will be hard, and let's hope the current 5's don't come into play, but I included both those lines too.

Men's Bracketology: We will ask again for the 25th time ... is this the Big Ten's season?

Nine Big Ten members are listed in our latest bracket, and every one of the First Four Out group -- Nebraska, Maryland, Wisconsin and USC -- are Big Ten members.

4's: Iowa State, UCONN, UVA, (Miami is a 4 as of now)

Creighton is a 2.5 favorite @ Villanova
KSU is a 2.5 pt. dog @ Okie St.
UVA is a 2.5 pt. dog @ UNC
Texas is a 4 pt. dog @ Baylor
St. Mary's is a 5 pt. dog @ Gonzaga
Indiana is a 6.5 pt. dog @ Purdue

Creighton and ISU losing is huge. Some have Creighton as a 5 trending up. ISU consistently seeded ahead of us. Their record in their last 11? 3-8.

I want a 3 seed not only to avoid those 1 seeds if we make it that far, but also because the 4-5 matchups are so even and their are some solid teams there

Baylor beat Texas and will likely just switch spots with them at best.

Doesn't really matter at this point. If we win out through the ACC tourney, the best we can hope for is a 4 seed. If we lose out, we are probably looking at a 6 (maybe even a 7) seed.
